San Jose was one of three California cities that saw the biggest decreases in home values in the past year, according to a new report from Zillow. For Zillow's Housing Market Report, researchers analyzed home values in the 50 largest U.S. metro areas between January 2022 and January 2023. The biggest losers, as it were, were all in Northern California: San Jose with a 2.3% decrease in home values over the past year, Sacramento with a 2.6% decrease, and San Francisco with the biggest drop with a near-5% decrease.
